Kari Samantha (born on April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American actress and performer. She began her acting career when she was in her teens. She is most known for her role as Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders, as well as in the role of her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised within Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble and worked as a payroll clerk, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. She has 3 siblings. When she was a teenager, she sang in nightclubs, sneaking out of the house to sing. At the Wooster School, at the age of 13 and began to study the art of drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous professor Uta Hagen.
