Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. Madekwe is English but her father is Nigerian. She was born on the South London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. At the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. Over the past few years Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film is the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. She then played Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie in six episodes each from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She also landed the part in the role of Bambi on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe starred in the Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with the dramatic The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. Following her appearance as a regular on the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after a guest appearance in the pilot episode in the season's third. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, hails from a large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley was never able to walk. She would dance. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old when she was a little older, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance since that time. Ashley was a dancer who competed across all major categories until the time she graduated from high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. She was the top soloist in important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
