Allison Stokke, born in Newport Beach, California on 22 March 1989, is among America's most renowned and richest Pole Vaulters. A photo of her track meets at 17 years old went viral in 2007. Matt Ufford threatened to file a suit against the photographer in the event that the image wasn't removed. However, by the time the post and its images were gaining a great deal of media attention. Stokke quickly earned a following due to a separate website built with pictures of Stokke in action at the pole vault. Images then circulated via social media to thousands of internet fans.
